Why Direct Therapy? Increases access to treatment by: Continued… • Overcoming problems with transportation (i.e. suspended driver’s license, lack of vehicle & lack of finances for bus fare) • Ability to provide tx to an individual anywhere in the state
What is Direct Therapy? • Conducting a therapy session or other direct service using a computer, Broadband Internet connection, camera/microphone, smartphone and/or tablet • Our website www.DirectTherapy.org • Currently offering; Mental Health, AoD & Co-Occurring Disorders tx; Intent is to expand to E-Medicine as well

CHC & OMCDC Housing • Housing currently in 6 counties; over $27million in housing • Over 615 Units, 503 Activated (many VT equipped) • In Summit County… Peachtree, Horizon Houses, Cardinal’s Peak, Summit Terrace, Touchstone • Goal to have VT in all housing locations
Touchstone Project • In April 2012, 15 units of housing opened for women and children with AoD problems • Individuals receive 25 hours per person, per week VT • Currently have individual rooms for therapy as well as 2 group rooms, both with a wide screen tv
Cutting Edge Team • Within a decade we believe VT will be used over 50% of the time • Currently utilize VT services for individual tx, group tx and occasional family/relational tx • During intake Orange Form given to assess VT interest, approx. 6-10 new patients per week interested
Potential Options for Attorneys • Individual tx • Group tx • For OLAP a standard tx package developed and implemented with input from the Board
Final Thoughts • VT is the best tx option offered to reduce stigma in obtaining AoD or MH services • Great results among AoD population as well as MH population • Problems - Today most private insurance companies will not cover VT. Currently Medicaid, Medicare, ATR, MACSIS and portions of Tricare cover services…
