  1. Clint beasley Resume for Tom Hess Music Corporation

  2. It all started when I was playing air guitar to a country record in my parent’s bedroom with this: Dad: “Son, would you like to really learn how to play guitar?” Me: “Yeah I would, Dad!”

  3. At 12 years old I started taking guitar lessons at a local music store called Southern Music.

  4. A couple of years later (circa 1994), I engineered my first guitar solo overdub to Boston’s ‘More Than A Feeling’ on the very latest of multi-track recording gear… Dad’s karaoke machine.

  5. A couple of years after that, I attended a Tascam recording workshop at another local music store. Ironically, this man enlightened me to the wonders of multi-track recording at home. I saved $400 as fast as I could and purchased my first multi-track recorder: Tascam Portastudio 424mkII Gary Pihl of Boston “You can do that at home!?”

  6. This new hobby turned into countless hours of experimenting and learning into allhours of the night. Over the years, I progressed into more capable systems and branched out into video editing. Fostex D2424LV Echo Layla MagixMidiStudio Roland VS1680 Cubase Logic Pro Sony Vegas Final Cut Pro X PresonusStudioOne

  7. During this time of learning the art of recording, I was simultaneously learning the art of live sound at my home church. Unauthorized cable disconnecting and reconfiguring proved to be a great launch pad to understanding the components of live sound equipment.

  8. My learning and experimentation with live sound took me through many different analog mixers… …all the way up to the modernmixing surfaces of today.

  9. Also, while learning the art of recording and live sound, I continued to explore the world of possibilities available for my guitar, particularly in the pedal and effects unit category. I lose count, but I think to-date I’ve had close to 20 completely different guitar rigs. Ibanez Pedal, DOD FX7, Boss GT3, Mesa-Boogie 50/50, Lexicon MPX500, Sansamp PSA1, VoxToneLab, TC G-System, TC Nova System, SansampTriAC, GT2, Line6 POD Live, Digitech 2120, Digitech iPB10, and so on…

  10. And of course, my musical influences were important to my progress on the guitar as well as recording and song writing: Van Halen Boston Jeff Healey Band Rush Petra Matt Papa DCTalk Extreme

  11. I knew that all of these skills and elements tied together and I knew that music had to be a part of whatever job or career I pursued. In 1999, I enrolled in the Music Recording Technology program at J. S. Reynolds to further my art.

  12. A large portion of the program was held at a local recording studio. I learned many great recording techniques, utilized a vast array of equipment, and gained understanding of how to run a recording session.

  13. Year 2000… During the recording technology program, I left my job at a local grocer and I started working for Mars Music at their new store in Richmond. I worked in the technology sales department where I sold recording, live sound, and DJ and lighting equipment.

  14. In 2002, I served in Vienna, Austria for 6 months as a volunteer through the International Mission Board. I developed multimedia materials for our mission teams, such as virtual video prayer walks, prayer guides, brochures, websites, etc… My love for music and sound only grew in a music-culture rich place like Vienna.

  15. After Austria, I returned to Mars Music just in time for them to go bankrupt and close up shop. I began to work at a Forex company called CFG. Among multiple media-related responsibilities that included printing, web design, and the like, I was given the opportunity to design and oversee the building of a recording studio: Sound Factory Studios.

  16. While working at CFG, in 2006 I also accepted a part-time position with my church to oversee the sound team. In addition to being the lead sound technician, I was tasked with building the volunteer base, training volunteers, scheduling, maintaining the sound system, and identifying and installing new sound equipment.

  17. In March 2007, I left CFG for a part-time job at the International Mission Board (IMB) as an A/V Technician. It soon became a full-time job, stretching my skillset into IT. This is my current full-time job today.

  18. As A/V & Desktop Technician II, I have enjoyed gaining a plethora of experience… Proficiency in Mac Proficiency in Windows XP/Vista/7/8 Identifying and installing new A/V systems Provide IT and A/V support for large conferences Run Front-of-House sound for professional level bands Implemented computer security for our personnel worldwide

  19. In July 2010, I started my own small business called moreofYOUinthemonitor LLC. With moreofYOU, I evaluate church sound systems, make recommendations, and sell and install digital mixing systems, as well as personal monitor systems. I am currently transitioning my company from sales and installations to providing training for sound teams.

  20. From 2011 to the present, I have been also working part-time at Gayton Baptist Church as Media Associate. As Media Associate, I work with all ministries of the church to help them develop their image, audio, and video content for their ministries.

  21. During a recent capital campaign at Gayton Baptist, we produced a series of videos of our members’ personal stories to promote the campaign among the congregation and community. Example videos of mylife stories are on the example work media resource links at the end of this presentation.

  22. Another major even every year at Gayton Baptist is Jazz Nativity. I serve on the leadership team for the event and provide all media development for the event. Example videos of Jazz Nativity are available on the example work resource links at the end of this presentation.

  23. A major part of my responsibility for Jazz Nativity is the multi-track audio recording, filming, editing and mixing of the event. Mic’ing instruments and recording over 32 channels of live audio Manning a camera and managing the filming of the event Mix and master the audio recording, edit the film and sync with the recorded audio Example videos of Jazz Nativity are available on the example work resource links at the end of this presentation.

  24. I’m confident that the abridged work and experience history shown in this presentation displays that my experience and knowledge was built from the ground up; earned through a lot of time and hard work. I hope you will find that it not only meets the requirements of the job, but stands to enhance your company and the content you provide to your customers.
