Master of Neuroscience and entry requirement • Each semester, single compulsory course five contact hours per week and a lab-based practical rotations (2 for honours, 3 for students without) • Entry requirements for the 3 semester option (#24): A 3 year BSc or equivalent degree including BPsySc, BAppSc, BBiomedSc in a relevant field with a GPA of 5.5 • Entry requirements for the two-semester option (#16): Prerequisites - A 4-year BSc with honours I or IIA or equivalent degree in a relevant field with a GPA of 5.5 • English Proficiency for international students: IELTS overall 6.5; writing 6 (or comparable English language proficiency ) • Compulsory courses : Molecular / Cellular Neuroscience; Systems Neuroscience; Cognitive and Behavioural Neuroscience • Program may be started either in semester 1 or 2

PhD in Neuroscience and entry requirements • Doctor in Philosophy (PhD) – approx 4 years • Prerequisites - A 4-year BSc with honours I or IIA or equivalent degree in a relevant field with a GPA of 5.5 • English Proficiency for international students: IELTS overall 6.5; writing 6 (or comparable English language proficiency as per University policy). • Choose a faculty member that aligns with your research goals and complete an Expression of Interest form . Provide CV, transcripts and 2 referees (www.uq.edu.au/grad-school/candidature-forms) • If Expression of Interest is successful you will be invited by QBI to apply • Applications accepted all year round

Scholarships • There are a number of scholarships available: • China Scholarship Council Scholarships • International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS) • UQ Centennial Scholarship (UQ Cent) • UQ International Scholarship (UQI) • UQ Advantage Scholarship (UQ Adv) • Graduate School International Travel Award (GSITA) • School or Faculty “top-up” scholarships • Scholarship values vary but can include tuition fee, living allowance and overseas health cover for you and family • QBI will contribute toward costs for national and international conferences. • All PhD students will be provided with a new computer and internet access. • www.uq.edu.au/international/scholarships
