IDNT • Developed by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) • Supports the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) • Nutrition Assessment is one of the three major subdivisions of IDNT terminology • Consists of set of observable entities • Organized hierarchically, subdivided into six domains with varying numbers of terms

HL7 • The AND has already made substantial strides toward mapping and submitting SNOMED CT terms for use in HL7 Standards. • We are now beginning the process of mapping to and submitting LOINCs. • Of immediate interest is the creation of LOINCs for use in Nutrition Status Observation and Nutrition Assessment Templates
