  5. Activities • Project team developed an action-research activity, by inquiring the students of both regions about their knowledge in specific issues of EU, namely: health, education, employment, environment, consumers’ rights, etc. • Each year have a “transversal” subject that schools work with: 2011: “employment” and 2012 “intergenerational solidarity”. School teachers acting as “mentors” of learning communities on EUcitizenship were also in contact in both regions, learning with each other the best strategy to mainstreaming the subjects of the Project into school curricula and how learning communities can enhance students’ performance at personal and educational level. • Difficulties, good strategies and plans to the future were the main focus of the meeting and Forums. During the Forum (2011 and 2012 edition) external experts will be invited to give tuitions or lead hands-on workshops. The transversal theme of each year focused on Employment and Intergenerational solidarity).
