  1. Monday Reflection “If you want to make peace with your enemy, you have to work with your enemy. Then he becomes your partner.”

Who said it? • Nelson Mandela is a world-renowned political leader from South Africa. • He spent 27 years in prison because he tried to fight against his government’s racist policies. • When he was released became president of the country. He spoke out against revenge against the previous leaders. • He started off as a young man believing violence was necessary to win black people their rights. • As he grew older, he changed his views. He realised if South Africa was to be peaceful, all people needed to work together. • This change was partly inspired by Mahatma Ghandi who said, “An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind.”
