  1. Hey there! • I wanted to explain a little bit about how I use this system in case it’s not self explanatory: • I am attaching the fonts that I used in this document so that you can add them to your computer, or else you will get a funky font. Just copy and paste them to your desktop and then copy and paste each to your Control Panel>Fonts. • I typically have my students on the first day create their own behavior clips, which in past have consisted of clothespins painted with foam letters hot glued on. This year I am using a magnet board so I am getting round magnets and having them paint their initials on them. • The “take the break” idea I found on Pinterest and this will be my first year using it. It is actually a center this teacher used that consisted of a small desk (off to the side but not PUNISHMENT) with a box of items; mirror, cue cards consisting of calm down techniques, and paper and pencil. She has the students look at themselves , then go through whatever technique she uses to calm them down, and finally has them write what made them upset or an apology. (5 minutes tops is generally what is used) **If you have an older class, you may want to change this as time out is probably not needed as frequent and this would be age inappopriate. • My students strongly dislike when I leave their daily behavior chart (pgs. 5-14) blank which is why this appears white on the clip chart. You can change this if needed. • The calendar is already set up for the entire year, and this saves a lot of copies. Usually, I do two months on one page (front/back). Parents only have to initial inside the square and if they don’t, to save yourself later, I make a note in the box “N.S.” (no signature) so that they cant go back at the end of the month and fill in the blank spots (which happens more often than you would think). • Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions!
