The Trust – Key facts • An independent not for profit company delivering children’s social care and youth offending services on behalf of Doncaster Council from the end of September. • 10 year contract subject to 5 year review backed by a statutory Direction issued by the Secretary of State. Council retains statutory responsibility. • Budget of £47 million and a staff of approximate 460. • Company office in the Blue Building in the High Street but most staff in integrated settings across the borough • Chief Executive Paul Moffat

Trust Aims • That early help and targeted support become more effective and that the number of children and young people requiring a child protection plan or to be taken into care is consequently significantly reduced. • That front line work in assessment and referral, child protection, fostering, adoption and youth offending services is regarded as high quality, innovative and a national exemplar of good or outstanding practice. • That outcomes and the experience for those in care and leaving care are improved and improving.  • That the pace and rate of those achieving appropriate, timely and sustainable permanency is improved.  • That governance, resource and risk management enable the aims to be delivered efficiently, effectively and sustainably. • That the work of the Trust contributes positively to the wider community and in particular through its partnership work, equalities impact and social responsibility practice.
