To use the 2012 Games as a catalyst to facilitate all ages to play more sport and be more physically active Through 2012-related activity, to inspire more young people to become involved in sport To have clear and supported pathways for talented athletes sub regionally to enable them to progress and achieve their sporting dreams Development of the sub-regions sporting and physical activity assets To communicate and maximise engagement in sport and physical activity

  4. Who are we? Cheshire & Warrington 2012 Legacy Conference 11 May 2010 Volunteer led club with a desire to provide fun activities in a safe environment for children and young people with complex disabilities and challenging behaviour Saturday & holiday activities such as Art, Drama, Baking and a variety of sporting activities Providing a short break for some exhausted parents, allowing time to be spent with other children

  5. We believe that anything is possible with the right support and the opportunity to try! Some of the activities provided so far:- Kayaking Inclusive Judo (Coached by Ex Paralympic Champion) Athletics Circus Workshop (Hearing Impaired Coach) Integrated Dance Boxing Wheelchair Basketball Boccia (Coach has physical and learning disability)

Accolades to date Cheshire & Warrington 2012 Legacy Conference 11 May 2010 Club Mark Awarded in 2009 Volunteer of the Year 2008 C&WSP Young Volunteer of the Year 2009 CWAC 17 out of 20 Coaches/Volunteers have a level II Coaching Qualification Some participants with severe disabilities have achieved a Level 1 Coaching Qualification Inspire Mark 2010

A Shared Vision Cheshire & Warrington 2012 Legacy Conference 11 May 2010 ‘Adoption’ involves provision of personalised support to maximise the 2012 Olympic Games performance of Vanuatu teams and individuals Extension beyond 2012 seen as mutually desirable (e.g. Glasgow Commonwealth Games and European competitions) Strong desire to seek mutually beneficial 2012 legacy benefits through sport and other cultural, educational, business and tourism initiatives Commitment to a long-term partnership based on trust to further develop sport in Vanuatu

  13. MMU Cheshire East 2012 PGTC Top quality individual and team training, coaching support and competition available in 2010, 2011 and 2012 (2013 + 2014 . . .) Integration into local clubs and community to support training, competition and social, cultural and recreational activities as appropriate Full sport science and medicine support services available to improve each individual’s preparation and performance Additional services available through MMUCE and the NWDA at no cost or preferential rates

Cheshire & Warrington 2012 Legacy Conference 11 May 2010 NOC Sports: Football (Men and Women?), Athletics, Table Tennis, Rugby Union, Archery, Beach Volleyball, Basketball (YOG) Potential NPC Sports: Archery, Athletics, Boccia, 5 and 7-a-side Football, Judo, Powerlifting, Sitting Volleyball, Table Tennis, Wheelchair Fencing Facilities to support all of the above sports are within 15 minutes of potential accommodation and management hub.
