  1. 3D Printing : Advantages

  2. Introduction The advances in 3D printing has created new opportunities for manufacturing, maintenance, research and development. It becomes easier to develop spare parts of machines .

  3. Opportunities of 3D Printing in Research and Development Many times prototypes required for R&D works are made manually from mouldswhich is very time-consuming process. But with the use of 3D printing, these prototypes can be created in a short time. It saves both energy as well as time.

  4. Advantages of 3D printing in Manufacturing Currently Additive Manufacturing has gotten a trend.Conventional manufacturing process consumes time and drains energy. But 3D printing has made the manufacturing process much easier. Also there will less wastage of material.

  5. Reduced cost of production The cost of production can be reduced by using 3D printing. The cost of 3D printer could vary between $5,000 to $500,000 and that depends on the aim and material needs. In the manufacturing matter, ROI would substitute the cost part.

  6. Scope for more innovativations As creating a prototype using 3D printing requires very less time so why not be some creative and take to 3D printing. It will save several ROI to the companies and spend money in other areas. Such experiments with finances can be more helpful and may give a better result.

  7. Eco-friendly Now a days most of the countries are strict regarding environmental laws. 3D printing emits less corbon therefore most of the aerospace manufacturers use 3D printing to make modules which need specific cut and structural uniformity. Also there is less wastage of material and some 3D printers can recycle wood, lower bad impacts on the environment.
