  2. Healthy kid lunchesare important and they ensure that your children are getting all the nutrients their bodies need. But it’s just as important to also give them healthy snacks. That way, you won’t have to feed them with junk food and sugary desserts that may cause health problems later on. • Unfortunately, for mo st moms and dads, they hardly have time to prepare for their children’s snacks. If you’re a busy parent, here are some quick snack ideas that are not only good for the body but also oh-so-delicious:

  3. 1. Baked Sweet Potato Fries Instead of letting your kids munch on some deep fried potatoes, why not slice some sweet potatoes and then bake them in the oven. It’s quick and easy, and definitely healthier than French fries that have been soaked in lots of oil. As a bonus, this snack is very tasty too. 2. Tortilla Pizza A lot of kids love cheese and this is why we’re introducing one of the most popular quick and easy healthy snacks for children: the tortilla pizza. All you need are some small corn tortillas, shredded cheddar cheese and salsa. Just put some cheese and salsa on each tortilla and cook in your toaster oven until you will see the cheese melting.

  4. 3. Orange Blueberry Muffin • Berries are healthy and are an excellent source of energy. Combining this fruit with orange makes for an even healthier snack. Here are the steps: • First you need to preheat your oven to 375F and coat muffin tins with a cooking spray. • Slice the oranges into small pieces and chop the blueberries. • Add ½ cup orange juice, 1 large egg, sliced oranges, and ¼ cup vegetable oil into your blender and blend until the mixture is smooth. • In a separate bowl, whisk 1 and ½ cups flour, ¾ cup sugar, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp of kosher salt. • Pour the orange mixture into the bowl and stir. Then add the chopped blueberries. • Place into muffin tins and then bake for about 25 minutes or until the muffins are golden brown.

  5. 4. Choco-Hazelnut and Banana Spread You can use crisp bread crackers and spread 1 tablespoon of choco-hazelnut spread. Then top it with 1 sliced banana for a delicious snack that your kids will love.  5. Yogurt Parfait Instead of letting your kids consume a pint of ice cream, why not serve them a yogurt parfait. It’s one of the easiest quick snack ideas around. All you have to do is slice into small pieces the following fruits: apple, orange, mango and kiwi. Pour low fat yogurt into a glass or bowl and add all the sliced fruits.
