  1. Chapter 2 Review

  2. 32 more than w • 84 less than z • the product of a number and 6 • the quotient of 140 and 4 • Write a phrase for each expression • f - 12 • 15w • w ÷ 15 • 110 + x

  3. Yes or No • 142 = 128 + y for y = 14 • = 23 for w = 16 • 12w = 144 for w = 12 • 184 + w = 230 for w = 414

  4. Solve the Equation • 86 + x =112 • 347 = y + 89 • 108 + v = 126 • 165 = m + 134 • 56 + x =120 • 11= • 347 = y – 89

  5. Solve the Equation • 9 • 83 + v = 262 • 128 = 4r • 165 = m – 134 • 7h = 84

  6. Word Problems • Caitlyn spent $37 on clothes at the mall. She has $9 left to spend on lunch. Write and solve a subtraction equation to find out how much money Caitlyn had when she started her shopping trip. • A hot-air balloon flew at 10 miles per hour. Using the variable h, write and solve a multiplication equation to find how many hours the balloon traveled if it covered a distance of 70 miles.

  7. A group of students were in a bike race. They started from Glendale, and rode 15 miles east to Phoenix. After a short rest, they continued riding several more miles east from Phoenix to reach the finish line in Mesa. The total distance from Glendale to Mesa is 45 miles. Write and solve an addition equation to find how many miles it is from Phoenix to Mesa. • All of the students in Tim’s class are divided into 4 teams of 6 students. Write and solve a division equation using the variable k to show the total number of students in Tim’s class.
