  2. Kinder original is milk chocolate with a milk flavored center • Kinder Überraschung (surprise) is hollow egged shaped milk chocolate with a toy or other candy inside • Kinder means kid in German and the reason they called it Kinder was because they are small enough to fit their hands

  3. Jean Tobler found Toblerone • Original Toblerone uses milk chocolate, almonds, and mixes honey into their mixture • The triangular shape was inspired by the peaks of the Swiss Matter Horn

  4. Ritter Sport has many flavors such as, yogurt, marzipan, butter biscuit, corn flakes, and others • In 1912 the first Ritter Sport factory opened • As the popularity of the chocolate grew the Ritter family brought it’s own brand to the market in 1919, they called it Alrika • By 1970 the Ritter Sport logo was on all the packaging.

  5. Milka was founded in 1901 • Twelve years after the chocolate was founded the production rate was eighteen times higher • In 1973 Peter Schmidt created the iconic Milka cow • Also Milka is the largest brand of chocolate in Europe

  6. Hanuta is hazelnut chocolate and hazelnut chunks in between two wafers • The candy is better known as the hazelnut sandwich • Haunta is a product of Ferrrero company

  7. Hans Riegel founded the bears • Riegel was born near Bonn • he came up with the name Haribo by taking the first two letters of his first and last name and Bonn: HAns RIegel BOnn • In 1925 he introduced licorice
