  6. APPROACHES TO HR DEMAND FORECASTING. QUANTATIVE QUALITATIVE Expert Forecast. Delphi Technique. Nominal Group Technique. • Trend Analysis. • Mathematical Models.

  7. QUANTATIVE TECHNIQUES. • TREND ANALYSIS : Forecast employment requirement on the basis of some organizational index. • Examples:- compensation, sales. • MATHEMATICAL MODELS: Like statistical regression analysis, simulation model.

QUALITATAIVE TECHNIQUES. • EXPERT OPINION : Panel of exports forecast HR requirements for particular future business scenarios .For this method , there may be a single expert, or the estimates of several experts may be pooled together. • DELPHI TECHNIQUES : Uses input from a group of experts. • The experts opinions are sought using separate questionnaires on what forecasted situations will be? • Theses expert opinions are then combined and returned to the experts for a second anonymous option. • The process continues through several rounds until the experts essentially agree on a judgement. • NOMINAL GROUP TECHNIQUE: Face-to-face discussion.
