  3. Let’s make some punch! We are making punch for a third grade party. 30 students will attend. The recipe below will serve 10 student. Party Punch Recipe (Serves 10 people) Ingredients: -1 liter of sherbet -2 liters of fruit punch -1 liter of lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage (or ginger-ale) Directions: • First, place sherbet in punch bowl. Next, pour in fruit punch. Pour in lemon-lime soda. Finally, stir, and serve chilled. • Answer the following questions about the punch for the party. Show all work and explain how you know your answers are accurate.

Suppose I needed to serve 10 students, what would the recipe look like then? Ms. Harris wanted to make this recipe for her family of 5. She only needed to make a quarter (fourth) of the recipe. What would the recipe look like then? Rewrite the recipe to serve 60 students. Ms. Watson was serving the lemonade in cups full of ice cubes. Would this change the number of people the lemonade recipe served? Would I be able to keep the lemonade in three large 2 liter soda bottles? Explain. How many soda bottles would I need? Recipe: (Serves 20) -8 liters of water -1 liter of lemon juice -4 liters of sprite Solve in your notebook!
