Homework • Homework nightly Monday-Thursday as per VBCPS policy • Planners filled out with each teacher /posted on webpages • Homework should take approximately 40 minutes a night, but typically no more than an hour • Homework IOU on Shark Report for missing assignments/follow-up check mark when completed • Freedom Fridays (“Work room”) • Frequent Missing Homework affects Work Habits grade, which impacts Honor Roll/Principal’s List

  6. Shark Folders • Come home every Thursday • Sign and return promptly • Review and initial the Shark Report in the folder • Keep all other graded papers at home, unless otherwise noted*

  10. Attendance • Please be on time! • Try to schedule appointments before or after school • This is an SOL year • Attendance is so important!

  12. Your child’s 4th Grade Journey • Less emphasis on reminders; more emphasis on personal responsibility • Establishing good organizational skills and study habits • Need parental support at home
