SoA Goals • Maintain simplified product structure • Minimize disruption and administrative burden • Transition of SBSB accounts to Business Express • Use existing SOA products as much as possible, not new ones • Intend to incorporate Tufts Broad network
Rules and Procedures • Approach largely consistent with prior SoA procurements; if selected, as of 1/1/11: • Must participate in all product tiers for which carrier is qualified (e.g., Gold, Silver, Bronze, YAP) • Must participate in all product lines Connector is currently selling (non-group, YAPs, Voluntary Plan, Business Express)
Rules and Procedures (con’t) • Existing contract will include minor amendments • Enhance consistency across contracts • Clarify termination provisions • Allow for automatic renewal by mutual consent • A response that meets our specifications will fulfill requirement for carriers to file annually to attain SoA (per M.G.L. c. 176J § 3(c)(d))
