  • Targeted - 73% of total budget - 50% EU

    • trans-national, adding value to national schemes

    • participation by NGOs encouraged

    • European network of national databases of in situ AnGR, linked to DAD-IS

    • web based European networks of ex situ AnGR

  • Concerted - 9 % of total budget - 80% EU

    • improving co-ordination at EU level through seminars & reports on national programmes

    • measures undertaken at Community level to improve co-ordination with other EU programmes (e.g. 1257/99)

    • developments in international negotiations

    • stakeholder seminars for dissemination of information

    • training courses

    • preparation of technical reports

    • promotion of utilisation of the market
