  2. Content Area: Science Grade Level: 4 Summary: The purpose of this power point is to have students classify and understand organisms as carnivores, herbivores, and omnivores. Learning Objective: Given a list of animals, students will classify each as a carnivore, herbivore, or omnivore with 100% accuracy. Content Standard: 3.2 Classify organisms as carnivores, herbivores, or omnivores. Accomplishment: Develop an understanding of the different types of organisms.

  3. What are Carnivores? • Carnivores are any animals that feed on flesh. These are animals that mainly eat meat! • Some carnivores include: lions, tigers, eagles, hawks, sharks, elephants, and even spiders!

  4. What are Herbivores? • Herbivores are animals that eat mainly plants! These include leaves, flowers, grass, fruits, roots, bark, and much more. • Some herbivores include: Deer, Cows, Sheep, and horses!

  5. What are Omnivores? • Omnivores are animals that are able to eat both plants AND animals. • Some Omnivores include bears, raccoons, seagulls, and even HUMANS!
