My Goals for the Year: • To give your child the academic and social skills the need to be prepared for sixth grade. • To provide a safe, supportive, fun classroom environment. • To help your child make new friends and discover new interests. • To help foster a love of learning and create life-long learners out of each of my students.

Discipline Plan • Positive Discipline ~ Reward Good Behavior  PBIS ~ School Wide ~WAVE Tickets 5th grade cash system (“Star Bucks”) Student store each trimester Table Points each week (donations appreciated) Teacher vs. Student competition • Behavior Plan *Verbal Warning *Lose Recess/Behavior Profile Reflection *Parent Contact/Behavior Reminder (yellow slip) *Principal Intervention

  6. Homework • Expect 60 minutes per night • 30 minutes reading (READING LOG!) • Binder + Planner=Key to success • Independent • Rewards for Success “Pig Out” every month Parent Notes in Emergencies (As a mom, I get it!)

  15. Fine Arts • Music Mondays and Wednesdays Strings (orchestra), Winds (band), or Chorus • Art Program Thank you, PTA!!!
