  1. SAINT JEREMIAH

  2. SAINT JEREMIAH • Saint Jeremiah, had wide spread practises for people to come and reveal their sins, or what ever they had on there mind. He built his practises with his grand farther and father. What affect did this have on the community? Saint Jeremiahs practises helped him devote himself to helping anyone in need.

  3. WHY DID HE HELP PEOPLE • Saint Jeremiah, devoted himself to helping others because he had always had that touch with people, he connected well with everybody and even when he couldn’t help them he would still try his best and stay side by side with them. This made Jeremiah believe he wanted to help people.

  4. About the franciscan order • Saint Jeremiah, joined the Franciscan order when he was just19, he was one of the youngest boys at this time to join, he devoted himself to the church life from then on, his father supporting him every step of the way. He struggled a little knowing that he will be helping the communities, his emotions got the better of him most o the time but he would always regain focus and say he is helping people and it is what he wants to do.

  5. Saint Jeremiah devoted himself to the catholic church because he was devoted on helping people, he would do anything he could to help the people in need. Jeremiahs practises changed peoples views on him, and they view Jeremiah had on the saving of a life.

  6. About a year after king Josiah of Judah had turned the nation toward repentance from the widespread idolatrous practices of his father and grandfather, Jeremiah’s sole purpose was to reveal the sins of the people and explain the reason for the impending disaster. This some what had the impact of Jeremiah helping people. Some man had come to Jeremiah asking for help when, as his wife had something wrong with her, Jeremiah hesitated at the start and then said I’ll see what I can do. He helped the woman and her wife, and that was the start of everything to come for Jeremiah.

  7. Jeremiah’s ministry was active from the thirteenth year of Josiah, king of Judah until after the fall of Jerusalem and the destruction of Solomon’s Temple. This period spanned the reigns of five kings of Judah: Josiah, Jehoahaz, Jehoiakim, Jehoiachin, and Zedekiah. The Hebrew-language chronology work Seder HaDoroth gives Jeremiah's final year of prophecy to be (3350 HC), whereby he transmitted his teachings to Baruch ben Neriah.

  8. CALLING • The Lord called Jeremiah to prophetic ministry in about 626 BC, about one year after Josiah king of Judah had turned the nation toward repentance from the widespread idolatrous practices of his father and grandfather. Ultimately, Josiah’s reforms would not be enough to preserve Judah and Jerusalem from destruction, both because the sins of Manasseh, Josiah’s grandfather, had gone too far [38] and as a result of Judah's return to Idolatry .Such was the lust of the nation for false gods that after Josiah’s death, the nation would quickly return to the gods of the surrounding nations. Jeremiah was appointed to reveal the sins of the people and the coming consequences

  9. Jeremiah built his relationships with the sick through his practises and good will. This changed the way others lived by volunteering when and how ever they can. Jeremiahs practises had a big part of his devotion to his people, he would always do what ever he could with in his practises whether that was helping people reveal their sins or just being there and supporting them in anyway he could. This was his life and it didn’t affect him in what he did, he loved what he did and didn’t think twice to have devoted himself to what he does best.
