Please organise • WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK CARD – APPLY TO GET ONE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE • A copy of your WWCC card is due by March 29 • NATIONAL POLICE CHECK– Please organise to get this ASAP final date due May 31 • ENROLMENT – Make sure you are enrolled for EDFX 170 Semester 2 in 2013 • PLACEMENT FORM – These will be given out at a lecture at the end of Semester 1

Please Check • WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK CARD you must have an upto date card & carry it while on round YOU CANNOT GO OUT ON PLACEMENT WITHOUT ONE • If you already have a WWCC card update your details via: www.justice.vic.gov.au/workingwithchildren • Inform the PEP office re change of details especially ADDRESS & PHONE NO • UNIVERSITY EMAIL continue to check regularly

  5. Preference Schools • Uni policy not to place students at schools where they work • Avoid schools where you have a child or close relative attending or working at • Advise us if you have a contact at a school that may assist you getting a placement there

  6. Expectations for placement • 10 days in school, WEDNESDAY each week AUG 7 – OCT 23 (Except school hols - See Calendar) • Expected pre-service teachers attend from 8:15am to approx 4:00pm daily. Some days may involve later finishing times for meetings etc... • Professional conduct • Absence inform school & PEP office provide medical certificate

Further information • Co-ordinator for Professional placements will deliver a detailed lecture regarding placements • GUIDELINE BOOKLET will be available on PEP w/site from late July • Placement details will be released on TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO ROUND • Communicate with the PEP office if needed • Please keep checking your university emails regularly
