  1. Geothermal Vaults and HDPE Structures

  2. Valve Vault Manhole Pump Station Catch Basin Junction Box Wet Well Sump Knock Out Pot Valve Box Tank Etc All of these have been made from HDPE by ISCO Industries For: Water/Sewer Industrial Landfill Irrigation Geothermal What is a Structure?

  3. Typical HDPE Structures

  4. Geothermal Structures

  5. Advantages of HDPE Structures They are the same as the pipe: • Tough • Flexible • Leak-free • Lightweight and easy to install • Corrosion & Chemically resistant HDPE structures can be prefabricated for installation savings and higher quality.

  6. Design Elements • Header/Circuit size • # of Circuits • Location of Circuits • Circuit Valves • Header Valves • Manway • Misc

  7. Header and Circuit configuration • Header size is typically 4”-10” which does not affect cylinder diameter • # of circuits and location of circuits will affect length

  8. Location of Circuits • Standard configuration is for circuits to come out both sides of vaults • Can offer circuits to exit one side • Can create unbalanced number from one side to other

  9. Valves for Vault • Standard Valves typically butterfly valves • Balancing valves and circuit setters available • Ball valves for purge ports only- not recommended for circuits • Typically provide butterfly valves for main shutoff • New Bypass recirculation

  10. Manway design • Standard Bolted Cover • H-20 load bearing available • Variable diameter with 28” OD standard • Height can be specified- shipping concerns become a factor with excessive height

  11. Miscellaneous Items • Ladder (standard) • P/T ports (standard) • Lights • Electrical outlets • Drain Valves for main/header

  12. Miscellaneous Items • Sump • Pump • Pressure Gauges • Thermometers • Drain Valve for circuits • Keep in mind this vault is not a mechanical room.

  13. Factory Tested for Leaks • Header and Circuit piping hydrostatically tested to 100 psi • Structure tested with 2-3 psi of air to verify vault sealed from groundwater and weather. • Misc items like sump/pump become unessential if liquid in interior comes from upset conditions, not standard conditions.

  14. Installation Value • Lightweight • typically less than 5000 lbs • Maximum of 15000 lbs for 36 circuits

  15. Installation Value • Fast install • Compared to alternate choices, time is measured in hours verses days/weeks

  16. Installation Value • Simple and Reliable Connections • Circuits and headers are connected to stubs on vault with Butt Welding or Electrofusion

  17. Years of Design and Fabrication experience can help prevent installation and operation headaches. • Choose an ISCO Circuitmaker Vault for reliable strength and leak free performance!
