  2. Tropical and Dry Climates • Tropical: 1. Humid Tropic Climate (Monsoons are seasonal winds that bring either dry or moist air to a region). • 2. Tropical Savanna Climate (Savannas are areas of tall grasses and scattered trees and shrubs). • Dry: 1. Desert Climate (made up of deserts). • 2. Steppe Climate (semidry grasslands or prairies).

  3. Temperate Climates • Temperate: 1. Mediterranean Climate. • 2. Humid Subtropical Climate. • 3. Marine West Coast Climate. • 4. Humid Continental Climate.

  4. Polar/Highland Climates • Polar: 1. Subarctic Climate. 2. Tundra Climate (permafrost can be found here which is permanently frozen layers of soil). • 3. Ice Cap Climate. • Higland: 1. Highland Climate.
