  2. What’s new? • All tests will be given on the computer. • You will create an account with GED Testing call “My GED”. ” You must create an email to do this. • You register for your tests through your “My GED Portal” You will get your results the same day. • You still have to go to a GED Testing site. We have one here at Hubbs and Hubb@ Harding.

  3. Four test instead of five. • Reasoning Through Language Arts • Science • Social Studies • Math • Scores range from 100 to 200 for each test. You must score a 150 to pass each test. You must have a total of 600 to receive your GED.

  4. Testing Fees • All actual tests are $30. You must prepay when you schedule your test. If you miss your scheduled test, you forfeit the fee. The actual tests are given at test sites only. • Practice tests are $6. You can take them on any computer. We have discount vouchers for $4.

  5. Practice Tests • You take the practice test through your My GED portal. • You can take the practice test on any computer. You don’t need to come to the testing center. • You will get the results of your practice tests on My GED. • You will get suggestions on what to study based on your practice test. • You do not need to pay for study material.

  6. Reasoning Through Language Arts • This test includes both reading and writing. • It is 150 minutes long. Yes….that is two and a half hours. Keyboarding skills are needed. Section 1 (35 minutes*) Section 2 (45 minutes) Break (10 minutes) Section 3 (60 minutes*) • *The time allotted for sections 1 and 3 may vary slightly, but the total test time will always be 150 minutes.

  7. Science and Social Studies • Science is 90 minutes long. You will have two short answers to complete. This means writing about one paragraph. You may also be asked to solve a mathematical problem related to Science. • Social Studies is 90 minutes long. This test also includes an extended response. You may take up to 25 minutes for this response.

  8. Math • Math is 115 minutes. You will use an online calculator.
