  2. Bunch charge effects Beamstrahlung and deflection in the bunch Coulomb field change the Bhabha polar angle distribution. (C. Rimbault) The effect in counting Bhabha events is several per mille – we need to control it on the 10-4 level News from theory • Uncertainties in BHLUMI (S. Jadach) - vacuum polarisation (precision improving) - photon radiation (may be improved in future) • At ILC we have a Luminosity spectrum – needs better understanding how to tackle this! wlo@INP

Diamond sensor studies • Minsk University prepared a ‘working lab’, detailed study of sensor protoypes started (Igor) • Studies of new sensors from FAP: sensors have similar features, but signal drops both with time and absorbed dose – why (Konstatin) • Nice and stable response from single crystal (Christian) LumiCal simulations • More realistic detector simulations (Bogdan,Michal, Jarek) - 14 bit ADC?? • First results from prague (Petr)- becoming part of the game • systematics of geometric distorsions (Andrei, Ronen) - LumiCal must be centered around outgoing beam pipe - systematics from different magnetic fields?? • Background estimate for four-fermion final states (Mila) - seems we are safe .. wlo@INP

Beam Diagnostics • BeamCal is an important tool for Beam diagnostics, first results with realistic detector simulation (Andrei, Christian) -nothing from PhotoCal Hardware developments, position monitoring • Progress of the laser displacement system (Wojtek) • Discussions on electronics design and sensors, contributions from Alexandre, Hans … wait for the writeup of the experts wlo@INP

  5. The ‘priority one’ issues • LumiCal and BeamCal: highly compact calorimeters (small RM, confined Showers) • BeamCal: - rad. hard sensors - fast readout, digitisation, processing • LumiCal: - high mechanical precison - mum alignment - interplay with theory - sensor quality, readout - novel technologies wlo@INP

Our next Duties EUDET: -prepare your plans for EUDET, present a talk (take into account the previous page) -let me know, since I have to give a summary Bangalore: two talks for two participnts, - design of the FR, with details about BeamCal - issues of Lumi measurement PRC: -report end of March the young committee: Christian, Mila, Ronen, Vladimir the experienced: Halina, Leszek, WolfgangLa, Woitek WL.
