  • Why?

    • Helps to defer baseload generation

    • Helps minimize the risk of a RES

    • Will help minimize carbon tax costs to OPPD

  • 25 MW from Elkhorn Ridge Wind Farm

  • Possible new site on Interstate 80 west of Omaha

    • Anticipated Award on April 1, 2009

    • April 1, 2009 also Transition Date from MAPP to SPP
