  2. Facility access/wholesale Billing • With the exponential growth in Ethernet circuits industry wide associated with wholesale services/wireless backhaul, CDG continues to look to enhance our Facility Access billing capabilities • With our new Discount Plan functionality, we have much greater capability and flexibility to handle complex discount plans, contracts, and early termination penalties • New ‘Compliance’ option allows for the shortage penalties to be automatically calculated and applied along with the ability to set grace periods, utilize auto renewals, and generate ‘out of compliance’ letters www.cdg.ws

  3. Facility access/Wholesale billing • CDG has also heard from a couple different clients that may need the ability to bill for ‘data bursting’ utilizing our ASPL capabilities • Data Bursting is the act of exceeding the bandwidth purchased for given period of time, usually associated with a monthly recurring charge • One scenario was where a customer needs the ability to charge for the consumption of bandwidth which exceeded the amount purchased www.cdg.ws

  4. Facility access/Wholesale billing • Second scenario was where a company needs the ability to offer tiered discounting rates to meet their customers’ bandwidth requirements • The more you purchase, the better the price per circuit www.cdg.ws

  5. Service Order System • CDG is currently in negotiations with a current customer on the development of a Service Order system for ASRs and LSRs • System would automate the provisioning of mechanized ASRs and LSRs as received by carriers • System would return FOC to carrier, and then determine all the associated USOCs, FIDs, and any discount plans/contracts associated with the order • System would support an error recycle file that would also allow manual corrections www.cdg.ws

  6. Vertex Taxing Interface • CDG is also in negotiations with a current customer to build an interface to the Vertex taxing application • Module would allow for more accurate and lower level taxing than is capable with current functionality • Would utilize Geocode assignment for each taxable service • API to Vertex would return all taxable amounts based on all applicable jurisdictions (Federal, State, County, City, etc.) www.cdg.ws

  8. Enhance dispute Feed process • Per a customer request, CDG is currently working to enhance the Dispute Feed process for a new option to produce ATRN adjustment entries • Adjustment records would be produced for each resolved ADSP record processed • New fields required on the ADSP feed input record to support this functionality include RAC, End Office Number, and Adjustment Approval indicator • Full array of ATRN edits would be performed to insure only valid, accurate ADJ entries are produced www.cdg.ws

  10. Processing of Alpha OCNs • As discussed during our User Group conference call on March 7th, customers have run into a critical issue with duplicate OCN processing • Issue occurs when alpha OCNs that are processed natively from the outside world conflict with numeric OCNs converted by CDG from 9999 to X999 format • OCN G117 (Verizon Wireless) was the specific OCN causing the issues www.cdg.ws

  11. Processing of Alpha OCNs • It is CDG’s understanding that OCNs beginning with ‘G’ were for administration purposes only and should not be used for record exchange • In the CDG system, OCN 6117 is converted to G117 to allow vertical processing with numeric CIC of 6117 • System logic is not currently in place to handle alpha OCN processing www.cdg.ws

  12. Processing of Alpha OCNs • Usage would simply merge, process, and report with other OCN 6117 usage • Through internal discussions, CDG has came up with two solutions for consideration www.cdg.ws

  13. Processing of Alpha OCNs • Proposed Solution 1: • When processing an alpha OCN, leave 1st position as is, but change the 4th position to alpha equivalent • CIC of 6117 = 6117 • OCN of 6117 = G117 • OCN of G117 = G11H • Would require no changes in current database setup or other system enhancements to support www.cdg.ws

  14. Processing of Alpha OCNs • Proposed Solution 2: • This solution incorporates adding a new indicator to the ACIC key to determine if record is for CIC or OCN • ‘C’ for CIC • ‘O’ for OCN www.cdg.ws

  15. Processing of Alpha OCNs • Proposed Solution 2 (cont.): • This would allow usage to process natively as received on CDR with no alpha conversion • CIC of 6117 = 6117 • OCN of 6117 = 6117 • OCN of G117 = G117 www.cdg.ws

  16. Processing of Alpha OCNs • Proposed Solution 2 (cont.): • Would require numerous changes to current database setup (AIXC, ABAL, AEOD, etc.) to support new IXC numbers • Would require system enhancements to usage processing programs and reports • Would result in learning curve for users used to old CIC, OCN, IXC numbers www.cdg.ws
