  3. Finical Aid types for you! • •Federal and State Grants • •Federal Student Loans • •Federal Work Study • •Institutional scholarships • •Non-institutional scholarships

  4. Federal/State Grants • Grants are for funds for many groups and projects. (Like your schooling.) Yet one of the things grants are NOT, is free money that you can use for anything you want.

  5. Federal Student Loans • Federal Student Loans are loans that the state gives to a student to finish his/her education. Once you finish your education, you must repay the money back to the Government.

  6. Federal Work Study • FWS aka Federal Work Study is a program that will fund students who do part-time employment to gain those funds.

  7. Institutional scholarships • These scholarships aid are awarded by department and or program that gives your acceptance into a degree program at the school.

  8. Non-institutional scholarships • These scholarships are awarded directly to a student by a non-USC affiliates, businesses, organizational affiliation, place of residence or employment, and ethnic or religious background.
