  1. Campaigns Staff Network

  2. Scenario • 1,000 Course Reps representing 20,000 students in 50 schools across three faculties • 50 School Reps representing the Course Reps at faculty meetings • Course Reps achieve a lot of small wins but we want them to achieve more visible big wins • £1,000 budget to be spent on campaigning by the Course & School Reps • 2 members of staff supporting the campaigning

  3. Questions • How would you promote to the Course Reps that we (the two members of staff) are there to support them in their campaigns (what are the key messages to get across)? • What (if any) training would you provide and how would you structure it? • How would you allocate the budget? • What on-going support would you provide?

  4. Newcastle • How would you promote to the Course Reps that we are there to support them in their campaigns (what are the key messages to get across)? - Campaigning mentioned in initial Course Rep Training - Go out on Course & School Rep Facebook pages - Mention it in Course Rep Newsletter • What (if any) training would you provide and how would you structure it? • Campaigns training to be put on as an ‘extra’ session during training period, with the dates and times promoted at all initial training sessions alongside the ability to sign up there and then. • Training to be specific to Reps and follow straight on from initial training as will be based on how Reps can campaign around the Feedback Loop.

  5. Newcastle Cont. • How would you allocate the budget? • Reps access budget by submitting a form. They can bid for as much/little as they want but will know the entire budget allocation is to last all Reps all year. • The form will be reviewed by staff/Sabbs and a decision will be made based on the info provided initially. • What on-going support would you provide? • After bid approved, Reps will have to come and meet one of us for initial meeting. • Have support of Education Officer and staff if they need anything
