  2. Summery Molly Jemison took her family farm life for granted, she never thought someday it would disappear. Molly was taken captive by a group of Indians called the Seneca tribe. She was traded to two women named Squirrel Woman, and Shining Star. She was a replacement for their lost brother. Almost at once Molly, now called Corn Tassel learned the Seneca language and way. She tries to run away many times to find her own family but was told by Neighbor Dixon, an Indian trader, that they were killed shortly after Molly was separated from them. Molly was at a trading post with Squirrel Woman and Shining Star and she tries to run away. The English find her and want to buy her from Squirrel Woman and Shining Star, they decline and fled to a different Seneca town, where Molly got very sick. Molly was given a doll made of corn by Earth Woman. Molly gets better because she wants to make a clay earth pot with Beaver Girl. Molly was given the choice to go back to an English colony with a new man, but decides not to go because the Seneca tribe had become her new family.
