  2. Example Problem Faced Hypothetical Case I’ve worked at Microsoft for 4 years, things have been going okay. One perk the company offers its employees is free soda. It’s a little thing, but I have come to depend on taking a break at 3pm every day to stretch and take a walk to get some Diet Coke. Today, no soda was dispensed when I tried to get my daily fix of Diet Coke. This completely ruins my mood. I pull out my cell phone, open the Feedback App, type in “No soda in machine” and tap on the frustrated face. There’s nothing more I wish to say about this upsetting matter, so I click submit and am back on my way. Topic* No Soda in Machine Feeling* Feedback Submit Frustrated / Upset *Mandatory Fields

  3. Gamification to Encourage Use The “gamification” of giving feedback is essential to setting up incentive structures for making sure employees give a constant stream of feedback. My Stats Today 10 This Week 30 Hypothetical Case My boss has encouraged my team of 10 to submit a total of 150 pieces of feedback on the app this week. If we reach our goal we’ll be given lunch on the company on Friday. Yesterday I had an unpleasant run-in at the soda machine, that will count towards the group total. On this page I can track how many pieces of feedback I’ve submitted, as well as how many pieces were submitted by the group as a whole. Group Stats Today 40 This Week 100 Claim Prize

  4. Feedback Received With employees submitting so much feedback, it’s crucial for them to hear back on the status of their requests or feelings. This closes the feedback loop with the employee feeling like a valued member of the community. Updates Topics No Soda Fixed Lights Heard Printers Fixed I can see the status of all the topics I submitted feedback on. Boss Heard Hypothetical Case Yesterday I submitted feedback about the soda machine. Wow, the company fixed it so quickly! I am so glad I work in an environment that listens and acts upon what I say. 5. Company Promoted Questions Overwhelmed How is your day going? Feeling* It is important for the company to have company promoted questions, where they’re able to collect feedback and thoughts on questions important to them. When opening the app, these questions will occasionally pop up and require clicking one of the emotions before allowing the user to go on to submitting a topic of their choice. Feedback Too much going on! Submit *Mandatory Fields
