  3. Quantum Technology was invited to do a walk-through along with various Philadelphia trades, to bid on the decommission of the Fiserv data center on Market St. in Philadelphia. The equipment was quite old and did not have strong resale value. As a result, Quantum, like the other bidders, submitted a charge to perform the clean-out and interior demoliton, but because of Quantum’s ability to monetize the assets, the charge was significantly less than the trades.

  4. Project details • One of the complications of the project involved layers upon layers of cabling beneath the floor, much of which was set in place by various tenants who occupied the space before Fiserv. Many of the connections also affected other suites in the building. In addition to working closely with the building electricians, Quantum also worked with the building mechanics to make sure no leaking occurred during the removal of the CRAC units. Demolition and recovery included 125 server racks, 60,000 square ft of raised floor, cabling, piping, CRAC units, PDU’s, fire suppression tanks, cubicles and partition walls. Fiserv was extremely pleased with Quantum’s work and went on to hire Quantum for many more projects around the country. • 125 Server Cabinets -resold • PDU’s, UPS’s – resold • UPS Batteries – recycled • Raised floor- resold • Dry wall from partitions – Recycled • Cabling, conduit – Recycled
