  2. Warm Up-Solve for x • 9x-7=-7  x=0 • 144= -12(x-5)  x= -17 • x-1 = 5x+3x-8  x= 1 • 2(4x-3) -8 = 4+2x  x=3

  3. Introduction to Geometry!! • Polygon: Closed plane figure made up by 3 or more line segments where no lines can intersect. Polygons!! Not Polygons!!

  4. Regular Polygon: All sides and all angles are congruent.

  5. Any shape with larger than 10 sides, we will call ____-gonEX) 15 sides will be 15-gon

  6. Triangles by Sides • 1. Scalene: 0 sides congruent • 2. Isosceles: 2 sides congruent • 3. Equilateral: 3 sides congruent

  7. Triangles by Angles • 1. Acute: All angles are less than 90° • 2. Obtuse: One angle is greater than 90° • 3. Right: One angle equal to 90°
