  1. Welcome to Meet the Teacher Night

  2. Dress Guidelines • Hats are not allowed to be worn inside the school building at any time. • Hoods, scarves, and drags are considered to be hats. • All pants must be worn above the hips.

  3. Dress Guidelines • Short shorts or shirts that expose the navel or stomach will not be allowed. • Two finger widths for straps on shoulders. • Shorts must at least reach the end of your fingers when your hands are down at your side.

  4. Toys and Electronic Devices. • Expensive toys, electronics games, cellphones, I-Pods, CD players, and hand held games are a temptations to students. The school is not responsible for lost, stolen or broken toys from home. Therefore, we request none be brought to school. • If these toys are brought to school, parents may be requested to come and get them back for the child.

  5. Substitute Teachers • Substituent teachers are an important part of our school. Anyone who misbehaves while there is a substituent teacher in the classroom will receive a detention.

  6. Classroom Rules • Complete your work on time. • Respect others and their property. • Listen when someone is speaking. • Always be neat and clean. • Raise your hand to speak. • Walk to and from classes quietly. • Be a good citizen. • Be courteous and kind. • Keep your hands and property to yourself. • Please use appropriate language

  7. Consequences • 1 –Teacher/Student conference. • 2-> Teacher sends a note home to the parents. • 3 -> Student calls parents. • 4 ->Student is sent to the Principal. • 5 ->Referral and after school detention. *the teacher reserves the right to skip steps if the students behavior warrants it.

  8. Notes for the teacher • Please give all notes directly to the teacher.

  9. Turning in Assignments • All assignments are due when they are collected. • All assignments should be placed in the correct color coded basket. • Any assignments turned in after assignments are collected, will be considered late.

  10. Late Assignments Policy • Students will be allowed • 5 freebies first quarter • 4 freebies second quarter • 3 freebies third quarter • 1 freebie fourth quarter • Late assignments should be turned in by the start of class the following day.

  11. Late Assignments Continued • If the assignment is turned in more than one day late, 10% will be taken off of the final grade for each additional day it is late. • The assignment will not be excepted for any reason after 10 days. • Only 1 freebie is allowed per assignment. • Each quarter those students who do not exceed the number of late assignments designated for that quarter will get to attend the “no late’s” party.

  12. Homework • Students are given time to work on assignments in class, and a 30 minute study hall each day. • Students who use their time wisely should have little to no homework. • If you are spending more than 50 minutes on homework nightly, please let us know.

  13. Unknown Absences Policy • Daily assignments can be collected and taken to the office and sent home upon the parents request. • Students will be allowed the same number of days they were absent to complete all of the work that accumulated while they were gone. *The number of days for long term assignments will not change.

  14. Pre-arranged Absences Policy • If you know that you are going to be gone for any reason, please tell your child's teacher as soon as possible. • Assignments will be ready for the student to take with them. • Assignment for pre-arranged absences will be due upon the return of the student to school.
