Searching for Patterns: Sean Early PSLC Summer School 2007

This study investigates whether error rate or assistance score is a better predictor of performance in a cognitive tutor. Logistic regression using LFA preliminary analysis determines the assistance score as the predictor. Deeply aggregated data shows that both error rate and assistance score are good predictors (p<.001). However, incomplete case analysis due to hurdles such as data scrubbing, software issues, and insufficient memory.
