  3. A fast look • Salary is excellent. • Occupation Size is also excellent. • Job Stability is below average.

  4. Duties • They check patients physical and mental health or sometimes do their X-rays. • Prescribe medications and administer treatments. • They also preform minor surgeries and surgical procedures. • Provide  management care. • Inoculate and vaccinate patients.

  5. Working Condition and Qualifications • Family physicians and GPs often work irregular hours. • They can also be on call 24 hours. • They also spend a lot of time in practise • A doctor of medicine degree (MD) is required to work in this field. • The MD requires at least three years of undergraduate studies, as well as four years of medical school. • If you want to be fully graduated you need to pass two exams.

Current Workforce • This is a large occupational group. • They work full time the whole year. • he full-time (full-year) salary for this occupational group is among the highest of all occupations in B.C. •  Resident physicians earn substantially less than fully licensed physicians. • The number of women working in this job has increased rapidly in recent years. • All family care physicians and  general practitioners are employed in health care industry.

Employment Outlook and Career path • The ratio of physician to population has increased in several years. • Some people in the part of province find it difficult to find a family physician. • The Government of British Columbia has increased the opportunities for medical education in the province. • Physicians who move to rural communities to practice may receive incentives such as signing bonuses.
