  3. One day the chief came to talk with Little Gopher. He said, “Do not struggle. I see something else in you.Your brothers will grow up to be warriors. You will be remembered for a different reason.”

  4. One day Little Gopher went into the hills alone. He had a dream-vision.There were two people in his vision.A grand-father and an Indian Maiden. She was holding a snow white buckskin.

  5. She said, “Find a buckskin as white as this once.Paint the sunset on it.”

  6. As she finished talking the sky cleared. The sky was filled with color from the sunset. The buckskin turned the colors of the sunset.

  7. .The night came.Little Gopher walked back to his villageand told everyone about his dream-vision.

  14. Every night he would go to the top of the hill and look at the sky.

  15. One night he heard a voice calling him.The voice said,“Because you have been faithful to you and your village, you shall find the colors you are seeking.
