  2. INTRODUCTION Celebration and parties with your dog can sometimes lead to accidental poisoning. Dogs areexposedtohighcaloriejunkfoodslikejuicy baby back ribs, heavenly-smelling burgers, buttery fish and other drool-worthy goodies which may lead to poisoning. It is advisable to keepthefollowingfoodsawayfromyourdog's reachtoavoidregularvisittotheveterinary.

  3. ALCOHOL Alcohol affects pets very fast as it is quickly absorbed into the bloodstream which causes drop in blood sugar, blood pressure and body temperature. Beer, liquor, wine and foods containingalcoholisstrictlyprohibited as they can cause seizures, respiratory failure, vomiting, depression, coma and evendeath.

  4. FATTRIMMINGS ANDBONES Table scraps often contain meat fat and bones leftover by human. These foods are not recommended for your dogs as it may cause pancreatitis. Dogs can even choke on a bone. Be sure to have a sealed trash bag available to throw away the leftovers so that your dogs cannot access them easily.

  5. ONIONS ANDGARLIC Any forms of onions and garlic are dangerous for your dog as they causes anemia by hampering dog's red blood cells. Various symptoms like weakness, dullness and breathlessness occurs. Garlic is more poisonous for dogs compared to onions causing oxidative damages to red blood cells and stomach upset like abdominal pain,diarrhea.

  6. RAW MEAT ANDFISH Raw meat and fish for your dogs are sources of food poisoning as they can contain bacteria. It is advisable to keep raw foods out of your dog's reach to prevent them from diseases.Fishes like salmon, trout, shad, or sturgeon contains a parasite which may lead to fatal diseases. Proper cooking of foods help to kill any germs and protect your dog.

  7. COFFEE, TEA, AND OTHER CAFFEINE Caffeine in large quantities can be fatal for dogs and there is no available antidote for that. Rapid breathing, heart palpitation, muscle tremors and fits are some of the symptoms which occur. Dogs should stay away from colas, chocolate, cocoa and some kinds of medicines andpainkillers.

  8. GRAPES ANDRAISINS Grapes and raisins are often used as treats for dogs. However it is not a good idea always as they may cause kidney failure. Dogs can become ill from a small amount. Repeated vomiting is an early sign followed by becoming more lethargic anddepressed.

  9. MILK AND OTHER DAIRY PRODUCTS Sharing your ice cream cone with your dog on a hot day may seem to be a cool idea but you should better not do so. Diarrhea and stomach upset are some causes of milk and milk-based products. Dogs may also suffer from allergies likeitchiness.
