O-HITEC’s Vision • To use HIT as a catalyst to transform the delivery of primary care services to patients across the State of Oregon. • O-HITEC will focus on three overarching goals: • Bringing EHR technology to providers in small clinics still using paper charts; • Helping those who have “adopted” EHR systems providers achieve true meaningful use; and • Transforming the delivery of primary care.

Meaningful Use Evaluation and Certification • For members with a certified EHR installed, O-HITEC will: • Assess EHR use vs. federal meaningful use criteria, • Analyze the gap to get to meaningful use of the EHR, • Link members with the products & services needed to meet meaningful use certification.

Products & Services Healthcare Improvement Advisors • O-HITEC will train & deploy Healthcare Improvement Professionals (HIPs)* to support O-HITEC member organizations in practice transformation to reach meaningful use of the EHR. *HIPs will have the same training & skills provided in the 12-day IHI Improvement Advisor Course.
