BACK GROUND • Thinking of tomorrow • Constant innovation and technology advancement • Huge purchase of electronic equipment • Exhaustion of earth mines • Too little is properly discarded (most of it remains in our homes- no proper management • We are aware of the health and environmental risks of e-waste, e.g. Contains toxic material So what???????

REQUIRED STEPS-to transform “Challenge into Opportunity” • Sustainable decisions • Resource efficiency- environmental benefits and innovative growth opportunity • Achievement of a balance between socio-economical development and environmental conservation- Huge milestones needed for effectiveness (do it well) • Stakeholder approach- (appropriate take back, empowering informal sector etc)
