  2. LED lights start up instantly, last five times longer, and less susceptible to lumen depreciation. They are also much easier to dim or use with motion/occupancy sensors than HID or linear fluorescents. And then, of course, there's the energy—and energy bill—savings. This savings is especially noticeable with high- intensity lights, like a parking lot and street lights—and high bays.

  4. LUMENS OR WATT

  5. Lumens is the amount of light emitted from a light bulb. More lumens equals brighter light, fewer lumens equals dimmer light. Watt is the measure used to evaluate the brightness produced by a light bulb. An incandescent bulb of 60 Watt gives out 800 lumens whereas the LED bulb gives the same amount of lumens at 12 watts.

  7. Lux Level or Illuminance is the total luminous flux incident on a surface per unit area. You can check lux levels of any space thrpough lux meter

  8. BEAM ANGLE

  9. Once you decided on the lux levels, select the beam angle i.e. the spread of the light beam. Increasing the lux level will give the best results only if the beam angle is optimal. Correct beam angle can reduce the glares to minimum.

  10. KELVIN OF LIGHTS

  11. The higher the Kelvin value of the light source, the closer the light's color output will be to actual sunlight. Bulbs with an output of 3500K or lower on the scale will have an amber hue.
