What is the Workforce Development Fund 18/19? • A financial contribution towards the cost of workers completing social care qualifications and learning programmes, meaning you can claim back a proportion of the costs incurred on completion of the learning. • A list of funded qualifications and learning programmes and their funding value is available: www.skillsforcare.org.uk/WDFqualifications • Here are some examples of what you could claim: • Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care –£690 • Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care – £870 • Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care – £1050 • Lead to Succeed learning programme - £350 • A maximum of £1,200 per learner, per funding year can be claimed.

  4. Who can apply? • To be eligible to apply for funding you must: • Be an adult social care employer • Join your local employer led partnership (where applicable). If your organisation is located in an area with no partnership, you can apply for funding directly from Skills for Care

  6. How to claim WDF • Have an NMDS-SC account that meets the advertised criteria • The evidence to claim will be a copy of the full learner’s certificate • 18/19 will be the final year to claim most QCF qualifications

  7. Apprenticeships • Levy paying employers will be able to access WDF towards some of their costs. • Non-levy payers will be able to factor their 10% cash contribution (which they pay to the learning provider) into their total cost of training calculation.
