  2. Infertility is a common human disorder that can affect both males and females. It is not like that only females or only males are subjected to the conditions of infertility, it can be either one or both of them affected between a couple. Sometimes even the infertility conditions cannot be known from before until a person tries to conceive for the first time. It is then that the individual comes to terms with his or her condition of infertility. • One of the important causes of female infertility is hyperthyroidism. It is a disorder of the thyroid gland which is overactive. Many females suffer from this condition and thereby they can also suffer from infertility conditions which they only get to acknowledge after they try to conceive for years and fail to achieve the same.

It is only when they acknowledge the fact that they cannot conceive, then do they consult an infertility expert who further guides them with the best treatment for their conditions. • But if you are diagnosed with hyperthyroidism then it can be said that your infertility condition is due to that and you need proper treatment for the same to save your fertility on time. If it remains undiagnosed or untreated for long, it can create more difficulties for the females and their respective reproductive health.

  4. Hyperthyroidism and pregnancy • If the condition of hyperthyroidism is left untreated or undiagnosed it can cause irregular periods or difficulty in conceiving. The difficulty in pregnancy may still persist after you get the required treatment for hyperthyroidism and so you must opt for a blood test to confirm your condition. • If you are not planning for an immediate pregnancy after treatment then you can try on taking contraceptives to get back fertility faster when you want to be pregnant. Sometimes, women can become pregnant and then suffer from the conditions of hyperthyroidism and in cases like these one must consult the gynaecologist as soon as she tends to do the same.
