It’s because in today’s busy lifestyle it’s necessary to rethink whether saree is a right choice for office wear or not. Saree being our traditional attire, it not only makes women look adorable but also emits dignified vibe around her. Getting dressed in a saree first in the morning and to carry the whole day at work especially for meetings can be a challenging task if one not used to it! In 80’s the number of working women was just started to rise, and we would see them in professions like teaching and banking. But now women are making waves in almost all professions and her work wear dressing took a whole new dimension. So it doesn’t mean thatoffice wear sarees have lost its number in fashion fraternity. Just have glance at few facts that are mentioned below to recheck your fashion updates. Women in India are adaptable to change in fashion and that’s really appreciable. This adaptability has become quite necessary for working women as few professions demand western wear dress codes. That’s not a problem unless your comfortability interrupts! In fact, many women find themselves comfortable in western dresses rather than sarees. We can find a number of dress types, which are predominantly influenced by western culture. Shirts, pants, pencil skirts, shift dresses will hit our mind when we think of professional dressing. So, does this mean that saree is an out-dated fashion? Is getting dressed in saree every day to office become tiresome? Wait! Don’t come to conclusion, it’s not yet over. Let’s Know Who All Will Wear Saree?   4. How To Choose Work Wear Saree? Saree is a versatile outfit, which can be worn anytime and anywhere. Sarees are differentiated based on fabric and embellishments, hence all saree types are not suitable for every occasion. One must be bit careful while choosing saree for office. Wrinkle free sarees are good for everyday office wear. Material: Handloom sarees are best for office. Go for sarees that crafted from cotton, silk and their blends such as raw silk, tussar silk, cotton silk, dupion silk, woven linen that gives a crisp look especially for meetings. If you are looking for wrinkle free then crepe, chiffon, and art silk sarees are good for daily work wear. Georgette, satin and pure silks are best options if there’s a special occasion at the office. Colours: Avoid bright colorsand embellishments unless there’s a special occasion at the office. Subtle solids and pastel hues such as beige, brown, peach, pastel green, light blue etc will be the apt one. Embellishments: Subtle solids and delicate prints are most suggested patterns. Madhubani, Warli, Saanganers, Batik Print, Bandhini, Block Prints…etc are few to name with. Avoid heavy embellishments such as sequins, machine embroidery, patchwork, mirror work and more.
