  2. General Facts on the Curia • The Curia is located in the Roman Republic. • They have their own government. • Curia means ‘court’ in Latin.

  3. Mira! Grande! Who Built it? • Tullus Hostilius built it in 7th century B.C. • Since then, the Roman Curia has gone through many organizational changes.

  4. Antiqua! Religiosa! The Curia is part of the Catholic Church. Also, it has both religious and civil functions.

  5. Formosa! • The Curia has three windows on top of the door • Marvelous example of Roman architecture • Appropriate for government affairs • Large, marble, black slabs on the altar.
