(Review the Northwest Ordinance)Industrial Revolution • The change in producing goods that had widespread effects created the Industrial Revolution • Origin of the Industrial Revolution • 1700’s ~ British inventors create new machines that take the place of real workers • British keep ideas to themselves by not allowing plans to leave factories • British textile worker Samuel Slater memorizes plans for spinning mill and spreads them to America • Did it to share, for publicity, and for wealth
