  4. Inbound • 23/06/2011 • Reus Airport Barcelona – Prestwick • Departure 22.25pm-00.00 • Ryanair • Flight Number FR 7817

  5. Contacts • Pupils will be allowed mobile phones and will have access to internet at the hostel in the morning and late evening • Mobile phone numbers of staff will be left at school office in case of emergency • The School will be notified of safe arrival in Spain so if you cannot get in touch with your child contact the school.

Rooms • This is a new hostel therefore damage to rooms would not be acceptable!!! • You must keep the rooms fairly tidy i.e. no make up and clothes scattered across the room. • You will have to put linen on the beds, so learn how to! • Key Card entry for room and locker. • Don’t leave valuables out! • Keep money secure in lockers

Hotel Facilities • Access to pool & gym • Pool can only be accessed with Mr Ezziane and Mr McShane present! • Gym is yours to use at your leisure • Wi-Fi • Wired Internet access • Pool table • Wii’s • TV’s, DVDs, Cable • Remember there will be other guests wanting access to facilities! Don’t hog them!

  13. Luggage • Don’t go crazy! • Dress light for good weather and maybe 1 hooded top or jumper if it is a chilly night • You know who you are sharing with so split the essentials • Hairdryers • Straightners • Make up • These add lots of weight • As said try not to bring football shirts! • Girls please dress sensibly as well, it is down to you and your parents what is suitable for you to wear on holiday. • We don’t want unwanted attention!

  14. Money • Down to you • If you want to buy presents please let staff know how much you are bringing • Barcelona is fairly expensive • Lunch will be generally a quick pit stop! • You will have to set aside money at the start to buy travel ticket for inside Barcelona

  15. Itinerary • This is what we will be doing each day! • It is going to be a great holiday so enjoy each activity • Even if it is not something you will normally want to do please keep an open mind ok and no moaning ok!

  16. Day 1 • Pick up at St Roch’s 6am departure (be at school no later than 05.45! • Arrive in Barcelona 13.05 • Board coach 14.05 • Coach transfer arrival at hostel 15.30 • 1 hour to get checked in, freshened up, settled in then out!

  17. Day 1 …. • Quick hope on tram to Parliament of Catalonia • Located in a lovely big park • Plenty of room to relax • Play ball games • Catch some rays

  18. Day 1 Evening • Dinner at 18.30 • Frescco, Carrer del Carme • http://www.frescco.com/ • Quick walk around the area see some shops get a soft drink or tea • Back to hostel for 10pm • Bed!

  19. Day 2 • Breakfast at 08.00am! • Depart Hostel 09.30! • Activity 1 • 10.00am Zoologico de Barcelona • 2 hours • Outside so plenty of sun cream!

  20. Day 2 … • 13.00 Aquarium Barcelona • Moll d’Espanya • 2 hours • 15.00 Depart • Free time in the Port Vell area • Head to the beach or relax by the seafront.

  21. Day 2.. • Dinner 18.30 Restaurant IMAX • Maremagnum, Port Vell • http://www.imaxportvell.com/ingles/imax.html • Maremagnum Mall • Do a little shopping and a wander about shops • Back to hostel

  22. Day 3 • Breakfast 08.00 • Depart 09.30 • 10.00 La Sagrada Familia • 11.00 depart • 11.30 – 13.00 Parc Guell • 14.00 FC Barcelona Stadium Tour

  23. Day 3… • 18.30 Dinner at Hard Rock Café • Back to Hostel area to relax and prepare for Day 4 • Get plenty of sleep tonight

  24. Day 4 (The Big One!) • Breakfast at 08.00 am • Depart hostel 09.00 am • Coach to Port Aventura! • http://www.portaventura.co.uk/ • 10.30 arrival • All day till 17.00pm! • Have as much fun as you can!

  25. Day 4… • 18.30 Dinner at Cosmos, Ramblas Santa Monica • Sight seeing round la Ramblas • Back to Hostel 9-10

  26. Day 5 • 08.00 am Breakfast • 10.00 am Check out of hostel, leave luggage at storage • Tram to the beach • 10.30 – 2.30 last chance to get some colour • Sit down for a nice Spanish lunch • Quick bit of shopping for gifts if needed then back to hostel

  27. 17.25 return to hostel collect luggage • 17.55 Coach departs • 20.25 Check in at Reus Airport • 22.25 Flight Departs • 00.00 Arrival at Airport • Coach waiting to bring us back to St Roch’s • 01.15am Home!
