  4. North American Snapshot 2007 to 2012 • Membership declined 7% • On average each year 16% more leave than join • Attrition (turnover) rate has increased

  5. When is member risk the greatest? • First six months • At three years • At 10 years • Use club assessment tools • Track & engage members using rotary.org reports & Club Central How can AGs actively assist clubs to use these tools?

  6. Retention Goal • Overall goal: net 3% growth annually • Reduce number of members leaving by 27.5% (9.2% annually) • 14% leave for uncontrollable reasons • Key strategy: Reduce the number who leave for other reasons What are the opportunities in your district?
