  4. 16-18 Financial Support Enhanced Bursary This is a payment of £40 per week towards the costs of coming to College. To be eligible for this bursary student must be:  • In care • A Care leaver • In receipt of income support(Independent student on means tested benefit in own right) • Disabled and in receipt of Employment Support Allowance • Disabled and in receipt of Disability Living Allowance In addition to the payment of £40 per week the students will be supported with the cost of any equipment or trips

  5. 16-18 Financial Support Discretionary (College) Bursary This will take the form of vouchers which can be exchanged for a monthly travel pass. To be eligible for this bursary student must be:  • Dependant on a household income of less than £20K p.a. In addition to the monthly vouchers week the students will be supported with the cost of any equipment or trips. This fund is limited to £69K

  6. 16-18 Financial Support EMA Students who were in receipt of £30 p.w. EMA in 2010-2011 will receive £20 p.w in 2011-2012 . If a students becomes eligible for the Enhanced Bursary they will be removed from EMA In addition to EMA the students will be supported with the cost of any equipment or trips. This fund is limited to £69K

  8. 19+ Financial Support General Hardship • Increased budget due to removal of ALG • Prioritised to students on less than £20K and:a) Studying for first Level 2 or first Level 3 qualificationsORb) From certain economic and social groups • Supports travel, exams and tuition (up to 20%), equipment, trips and CRB checks.

  9. 19+ Financial Support Childcare • Prioritised to students on less than £20K and:a) Studying for first Level 2 or first Level 3 qualificationsORb) From certain economic and social groups • Supports 100% of costs up to £5500 per child

  10. 19+ Financial Support College Support Funds • Examination and Assessment Fee Support:Aimed at part-time students to supplement 20% cap on supporting exam fees from General Hardship • Tuition Fee Bursary (FT):Aimed to support whose remission has been withdrawn for 2011-2012 or who are on an income of less that £15.5K p.a. Reduces £1K fee to £350.

HE Financial Support Other forms of Financial Support • HE Bursary:Range of payments available dependant on if student is part time or full time, has studied with college before or has taken out full entitlement to all student loans and grants. • Access to Learning Fund/Hardship Funds:Must have taken out full entitlement to all student loans and grants. Provides additional support of up to £1000. Homeless students have a guaranteed payment of £1000
